What it's like
Saint John runs on contrast. Uptown is Victorian brick, coffee shops and the City Market. Ten minutes out you find quiet streets with harbour views, and ten minutes further the woods start.
The west side keeps its own identity, with the Irving Nature Park and beaches at its edge. North and east trade walkability for space and price. People here tend to know their block, not just their city.
